The Pound Sterling is the official currency of the UK, including England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

| The Euro | |
The euro is the currency of twelve European Union countries: Belgium, Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal and Finland. The currency was introduced for trading on 1st January 1999, but the first banknotes and coins were not brought into circulation until the 1st of January, 2002.
To generate the euro symbol on your computer, use either AltGr-E (in Europe) or AltGr-4 (in the UK and Ireland). AltGr should be the key to the right of your space bar.
